16 # Where it all began…

The first steps toward his cherished goal were taken back in the summer of 2008, when Pavel Latushkin gathered some local kids from the village of Verkhniy Karbush—Sergey Voronov and…, also the camera operator. The film’s working title was “Hell.” They got together, came up with the idea, filmed it themselves, Pavel edited it, and everyone rejoiced.

Back in 2008, Pavel was watching his favorite horror film, Hellraiser, and as the film’s closing credits rolled, he was amazed by how many people were working on the film. And there were only three of them, so to speak (while in real cinema, there are more than 100 or 200 people).
