After Pavel made a test film in 2008 called “Hell” (with a small, gripping plot), it was time to move on, as ideas were maturing (days go by, years fly by).
Despite the fact that the 2008 short film is a completely amateur level, it was necessary to invite not street kids, but those who at least somehow understand what filming is, acting training and at least the desire to do – S – seriously (or at least pretend to be serious)))!
This was the beginning of the journey into the World of Cinema, into the World of Another Reality)
The journey continues, and this time we need to go further. First, we need to find equipment, actors, and the most important thing, without which the project won’t survive for long—a budget.
But again, Pavel decided to follow his own thoughts, and these thoughts were driven by his own ambitions. And when creativity itself begins to move him, an even more captivating plot is born.
In the fall of 2009, Pavel invited his longtime friend Sergei Svetetsky to star as the lead character, and Pavel invited Anastasia Stepurina to take the cameraman’s place.
Since there are two people in the story in this short film, and Pavel himself must also take part in the filming as an actor, a videographer is, of course, needed.
So, we got together and filmed the first scenes (again, since this was a fan-made Hellraiser movie, and Pavel was simply in love with the franchise), so the concept of an independent film from Pavel Latushkin was still in development (the script was only ready in small sketches).
Overall, it turned out well; you can tell from the footage that they put in the effort. Everyone got a lot of excitement from the shoot, and ideas for further implementation of the project.
But there’s still work to be done, some tweaking to be done, and after a successful launch, we can begin full-scale filming, with a full cast, crew, assistants, etc., and the plot itself has become more compelling than Hellraiser. And for the film itself to be gripping, we need to raise a budget, and a pretty big one at that.
